September 20, 2016

HomeWorld is proud to announce its extended partnership with Sydney Thunder to include the Women’s Big Bash League Champions for the 2016/17 season.

“We’re extremely proud to be the Major Sponsor of Sydney Thunder T20 Big Bash men’s and women’s teams and to be an active member of the Thunder Nation,” said HomeWorld CEO, Phil Jones.

“Extending our sponsorship to both champion teams within the club is an exciting and important step for HomeWorld. We are committed to supporting the next generation of talent in Australian cricket and look forward to being part of the fun and excitement of the season ahead.”

Sydney Thunder General Manager Nick Cummins reinforced Phil Jones’ statements. “HomeWorld has been a terrific partner for the Thunder and we were delighted when they approached us about extending their sponsorship to our women’s team.”, said Sydney Thunder General Manager, Nick Cummins.

“We are really pleased to have Nicola, Naomi and Lauren return to the Thunder for the coming season, they represent cricket’s bright future,” Cummins added.

HomeWorld are grateful for the opportunity to support both men and women in their sporting careers.

“It’s really good to have sponsors across both teams, it’s great to see that they value the women as good ambassadors for the club,” said Naomi Stalenberg. “The WBBL gave me the chance to bat up the order and it helped get my name out there and really helped me get into the Australian side.”
