From the moment you walk up to the timber floor-to-ceiling front door and notice the rendered “Cubist” design, you know that this is no ordinary home.

The Stanford is a demonstration of the creativity of ZAC Homes in that we create homes that are as individual as their owners. There are no two the same.

With the Stanford we offer open free-flowing entertaining areas as well as secluded formal living and private retreats.

From the entry foyer – looking out on a water feature and spacious outdoor courtyard – you enter the living room or go in the opposite direction along a hallway to the large kitchen with its breakfast bar-servery island and stainless steel appliances.

One signature of this home is the almost-endless flow of full-height glass adjacent to the courtyard which draws an abundance of natural light. There’s a feeling of being at-one with the outdoors when you sit in the meals area and this atmosphere is heightened when the large glass folding doors are opened up. Beyond this dining-food preparation hub of the Stanford – complete with its own wine “cellar” – is the family room slash home theatre room. Its location at the rear of the house makes it the ideal haven for playful children whilst the adults “chill out” at the front of the house.

The second storey features a master bedroom with its own balcony, walk-in robe and novel divided ensuite (making it easier for two people to get ready at the same time!). The hallway leads to three bedrooms, a study nook and spacious bathroom.

Standing outside in the alfresco courtyard, as you gaze up at the second level you immediately recognise the other Stanford signature: beautiful rustic blackbutt. The warm, natural appearance of the Australian timber is used as a decorative fascia here and on the master bedroom balcony.
