Even More Good News for First Home Buyers

Today’s NSW Mini Budget brought more good news for first home buyers of new homes with a further top up of the First Home Buyers Grant by $3,000.

This means that the original $7,000 grant, recently tripled by the federal government to $21,000, will now be increased to $24,000. While the $21,000 is available until 30 June 2008, the extra $3,000 from the state government will be available for 12 months from today (11 November 2008).

However, HomeWorld’s CEO, Frank Death, is urging first home buyers to strike while the iron is hot!

“These opportunities don’t come along very often in one’s lifetime so I would be taking advantage of the full $24,000 to establish my first home. First home buyers are eligible for the stamp duty exemption on top of the grant and interest rates are down and likely to go down further, in the coming months

“The HomeWorld builders are offering some great value special offers to make it even more attractive to buy that first home. As we say at the village there’s nothing like living in a brand new home,” said Frank Death.
