The builders at HomeWorld are ready to help eligible first homes buyers take advantage of the boosted First Home Buyers Grant of $21,000 on a newly constructed home.
The original $7,000 grant has been boosted by $14,000 making the total grant now available $21,000, a real triple treat.
The boosted grant will only be available for contracts entered into for a newly constructed home between 14 October 2008 and 30 June 2009.
That is why it is important to get the process of buying a home underway as soon as possible to avoid a last minute rush. Our builders have a range of homes to suit all budgets and can assist first home buyers to choose a home within their budget.
Home finance is available at the HomeWorld Home Loan Supermarket on site which helps to speed the approval process.
The full details of the qualifying criteria for the $21,000 grant are available on www.osr.nsw.gov.au Application forms are available on that website or through your financial institution.
You will need to complete the application form and lodge it with the Office of State Revenue (OSR) or your financial institution. You should attach supporting documents for your application including identification documents and a certified copy of the contract.
Applications with your financial institution will be eligible for payment at settlement. If lodged with the OSR you will be paid when settlement is paid and your name is registered on the title.
You are probably aware that the applicants cannot have owned a property before and the home cannot be an investment property. If you have received the grant before you are not eligible for another payment.
First home buyers might find all this a bit daunting that’s why it’s good to deal with a HomeWorld builder who has done it all before.
Also don’t forget first home buyers are eligible for stamp duty exemption on properties up to $500,000.
Make sure you get in early so that you can go through the process without complications. It’s a wonderful opportunity to join the ranks of home owners and what better place to start then
