After 10 years of living in their old, weatherboard home – David and Sue-Ellen Broughton decided their living arrangements were no longer adequate for their family’s current and future needs.
David and Sue decided moving from their beloved Collaroy Plateau location was not an option because they liked their neighbours and the lifestyle it offers.
Deciding to take the knockdown rebuild approach to achieving their dream home in their ideal suburb, the Broughtons quickly discovered the enormous variety and expertise of the
“We lived in the old home for 10 year. It was a weatherboard and hardiplank project home built in the sixties, with a poor extension.
“It was cramped, badly laid out and you had to walk through the bedrooms to get to the living area," said David.
The site, just 10.5 metres wide, was a challenge. David and Sue-Ellen believed the Jandson home was big on lifestyle features and efficient use of space – and fitted the site.
“It had to be a home that would accommodate both our current and future lifestyles. With two young children aged 12 and 9, space to grow and entertain as a family was a must," added David.
