First home buyers have been given a second chance in the Federal Budget with the extension of the boosted First Home Buyers Grant of $24,000, on newly constructed homes, until 30 September.

Frank Death CEO of HomeWorld, the world’s largest display village has urged home buyers to move quickly to take advantage of the extended grant to avoid disappointment.

‘We are experiencing a rush by families eager to secure their first home and this is likely to continue. It takes time to select a suitable home and land and to go through the process of loan applications and building approvals.

"The builders at HomeWorld are experienced in streamlining the process but the earlier home buyers get started, the quicker everything can be put together to take advantage of the higher grant. It’s a great opportunity to secure your first home and a wonderful start in life," said Frank Death.

Frank Death welcomed the government’s move to provide a higher grant for newly constructed homes. "This will create jobs in the construction and related industries and generally build confidence in the future",

There are 130 homes by 35 builders at HomeWorld providing first home buyers with a wide selection of home designs. Land is available from the Landcom and HomeWorld Landsales offices at the village and home finance options can be explored with the lenders at the HomeLoan Supermarket.
